BEHIND THE MIC

Misha Zelinsky is a public policy expert and is published in The Sydney Morning Herald, Huffington Post and The Australian Financial Review. He is the author of the JCRC essay  ‘Housing Addicts? How the Australian Dream turned into a national nightmare’.

With a background in economics and law, Misha began his career as a criminal defence lawyer for the Aboriginal Legal Service. He is a graduate of the University of Wollongong and the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Misha is the Assistant National Secretary of the Australian Workers’ Union, Australia’s largest blue-collar union, where he started as the Chief Economist in 2011. He is a director of Cbus Super, an industry superannuation fund with $48 billion under management.

When he’s not overanalysing Australian and international politics, Misha takes a keen interest in sports Australia can win in regularly – and a passing interest in those we can’t.
